Rog47 for Model Number Kenmore 110.27812692 How do you know that the drive block is the only part that requires replacing? I see comment above about machine gun like noise. Ours started doing that occasionally during agitate cycle and the clothes would wrap around the agitator very tightly. The noise would often go away if the clothes were carefully unwrapped and the washer restarted. I attempted to remove the agitator using the instructions in Sears Do It Yourself Kenmore Automatic Washer (Direct Drive) repair manual but after removed the bolt, the agitator would not come out of the tub (and I was afraid to break something if I pulled too hard) so I put it back together. Yesterday, though, the noise migrated to being throughout the entire spin cycle and I told my wife we needed to shut it down. The video shows a special spanner wrench as being necessary to remove the drive block and I also wonder what other parts might be required and how I can tell if they are needed. I have a video I can send anyone who would like to see it - it shows the agitate cycle - I can take another with the spin cycle. Thanks.
