This machine control board is the washer's electronic brain, directing the motor, water valves, and cycle timing. Replacing a failed board restores proper control of wash, rinse, and spin functions and helps resolve erratic or non-starting cycles.

  • Coordinates cycle timing and sends power to the drive motor, drain pump, and fill valves
  • Monitors inputs from the door lock and sensors to manage operation
  • Failure can cause the washer not to start, stop mid-cycle, or fail to spin or drain
  • Associated with control-related error codes or intermittent operation
What's included: 1 machine control board Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing

Hello Gary, On the stacked Neptune, MLE2000AYW, there are tow big molex connectors under the access cover on either side of the door. These are common to lose connections and this is the first place I would check. If the connection giving trouble has been hot it will be easy to locate since the connector will discolor, making the white plastic turn a bit tan or darker. If not, it can be a real chore to locate. If not discolored, it is easiest to troubleshoot the unit using the wiring diagram and an ohm meter, (power off to machine when using the ohm meter to avoid damage to the meter). Looking for the voltage is more dangerous but most technicians prefer this method because when the voltage goes into a component but doesn't come out the other side, you have found the component at fault.
