Sharon I have a whirlpool washer and it will not spin properly. When it does it doesnt get all the water out on heavy loads such as towels or jeans but ususally does fine on the other loads as long as they are not to wet. What could be causing this? I had kind of the same problem a few years back and I think all the repairman replaced was the brake pads.
Answer Hi Sharon. Your motor is "coupled " to your transmission by a motor coupler part # 285753A. When this partially fails it can give the same symptoms.
