Al for Model Number GT4175SPB-2 One of the hinges on my door latch bracket is broken off. After buying a replacement part, do I just insert one hinge in one of the hinge keepers then press snap the other hinge in or do I have to take the control panel off? I am afraid of breaking a hinge on the new part. I couldn't get the control panel off. Also, since the bracket was just laying in the bottom of the unit I am not certain how the bracket fits in to unlock the latch on the door and activate the switch on the bottom.
Answer Al, You will want to unplug the unit and remove the outer casing of the unit. Once removed you will remove the screws on the back side of the control panel that will allow it to be removed. Once removed you can install the door latch bracket. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, September 30, 2014
