Chance for Model Number PSD264LGRQ Our electricity went out after a storm and was off several days, the ice melted in the bottom of the bucket. When the power came back on the water froze again and my husband tried to get ice out of the dispenser and the auger busted out the back of the bucket. So what I need to know is ordering the bucket going to solve my problems and will instructions come with the bucket on how to reassemble the auger into the bucket?
Answer Chance, If the bucket got cracked or distorted, replacing the "bucket" should solve the issue. No, the part will not contain an instruction sheet (most parts don't) but it is doable, but you have to be carefull. When you remove the front cover WP12571606 from the bucket don't break the tabs on the top or bottom. Once you remove the two(2) screws on the bottom of the bucket, the auger and chopper assembly can be removed as a single unit WP12740302. Reverse the procedure and test the dispenser for operation.
