Michael for Model Number JGC8536ADB Our xlarge burner lights inconsistently. We get sparks but usually it takes quite a while before the burner lights with a big "whomp" sound and flame. And sometimes it won't light at all until we use a lighter. So do I need to replace the burner assembly and, if so, does the assembly include the igniter or do I need to buy that part as well?
Answer Michael, if the igniter is sparking and not lighting that particular burner, the igniter is ok, the burner head probably needs to be cleaned. Find the small weep hole that allows gas to get to the igniter and clean it out. You want gas to get to the igniter so it can light the burner properly. To answer your question, you would need to purchase the igniter separately. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, September 3, 2019
