Usnavychiefret for Model Number KUDR01TJBT0 I tested the inlet valve and it shows 115V and seems to be opening to let water into the tub, however, once full, the motor won't start, I just get a buzzing sound after a short period the unit shuts down. As I understand this capacitor starts the motor. I know a capacitor stores electrical energy. I've fixed this machine a number of times never had this problem, just replaced chopper. A few months ago the soap dispenser latch broke but that didn't seem to affect running. It sounds like it tries to start but nothing happens. I'm pretty good at troubleshooting if I knew what to look for, what specs to look for as far as electrical.
Answer Hello USNavyChiefRet. With an analog meter you should see a "C-kick" and then a slow drop back to 0. If so, the capacitor is good. If not, you will need to replace the capacitor. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, April 19, 2011
