Ab Jones for Model Number whirlpool lxr9445jq0 Timer works, motor hums,wont spin or agitate. Removed motor/tranny section. Could capacitor cause this problem? When unplugging motor and cap. one lug/wire of cap. was very loose and broke when I tried pulling wire off. Now I cant check motor section without cap hooked up. Please help.
Answer AB Jones, The first thing that you will need to do is to repair the wire for the capacitor. If that wire was loose and broke when pulling it off then this could be causing the issue as this is a run capacitor and would need to be hooked up to run.
