Paul for Model Number Whirlpool My upper tray dishes weren't being cleaned, so I followed suggestions and found that grinder was clogged. I replaced it, but it keeps clogging. It works fine for a couple of loads, but then has to be cleaned again. It seems to turn fine when on the impeller. Could the impeller be the problem? There is also a small amount of water in the lower well where the grinder sits. Is this normal? Finally, I took the check valve out. It appears normal, but how do you tell? It seems to be just a fixed piece of rubber, so I am not sure what function it might play in all of this. Thanks much for your help.
Answer Hello Paul. It is possible the impeller is bad and not turning the grinder properly. If you replace it and it still continues, then you will need to check the circulation pump. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, September 27, 2016
