Doug I have a stainless Kenmore washer (model tag is simply non-existant. I have checked everywhere. How do I determine whether the control panel (visible when the door is slightly open) is the problem, or the control board (pn W10352583 Rev B)? When I push the pressure sensitive buttons on the panel, the only one that works (after many tries or pushing different buttons) is the Pots and Pans cycle. Even after the P&P light comes on and stays on, it takes more tinkering before the Start light will come on and stay on.. After fiddling with all that, it will then work thru the entire cycle? How to I proceed? Thanks, Doug
Answer Doug, You will want to take the control panel off and disconnect the ribbon harness from the board and make sure that there is no corrosion on the ribbon harness. If there is clean and reseat and see if this correct the issue. If not then the control panel will be the most likely cause for the failure. Read More...
