Paul F. for Model Number GHW9150PW1 I am getting F06 and want to perform the resistance checks. It's not clear to me what needs to be disconnected and exactly where the test points 1,2 & 3 are located. Do you have a video for this or more detailed instructions? The wiring connectors all seem to be snapped in place so I suspect it is a failed MCU. I have read that the fuse on that board can be the culprit but it is not replaceable. Is there a check for that?
Answer Hello Paul, As per the tech sheet: This is a drive motor tachometer error. The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door will be unlocked after three minutes. Possible Causes / Procedure 1. Verify the shipping system including shipping bolts, spacers and cables are removed. 2. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 3. Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU). 4. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 5. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor. 6. Check the drive motor for powered rotations. If you refer to page 13 of the tech sheet, the top left part of the wiring diagram, you will see the terminals labeled GND, In/Out, and Vcc. If there is a fuse on the board, you can check that with an ohm meter. If it is submerged in an epoxy type substance, the board will have to be replaced. Read More...
