Greg for Model Number 11045087404 I had sears replace the bearings. They said that made it go. F6 still showed. They said F6 indicated a bad CCU. I replaced the CCU and the test run worked fine. I did a load and it worked fine on regular wash. I did another load, kids' jeans), and it shut down just before rinse and spin. It displayed the F6 an stopped. Is my motor or the motor control board bad? The motor seems to work fine.
Answer Hello Greg, As per the tech sheet the F6 is a Drive Motor Tachometer Error. The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door will be unlocked after three minutes. 1. Verify the shipping system including shipping bolts, spacers and cables are removed. 2. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 3. Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU). 4. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 5. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor. 6. Check the drive motor for powered rotations. Read More...
