Dan for Model Number mew5530DDB I bought my house brand new in Nov 2006 with this oven. In oct 2010 the key pad stopped working and only the broil button worked. I replaced the control panel and all was good until Feb 2013. Now only the bake button works and the temp automatically goes to 350'F. The key pad doesn't work again. Is this a commen problem with this unit? Putting $400 dollars in 6 years for 2 contol units seems like a problem. Please advise. Thank you for your time R/S Dan
Answer Hello Dan. I would not say it is common for these things to go out, but does happen. Sometimes this is due to using cleaners on them, not made for control panels. Also, you can try removing the ribbon cable from the control board and cleaning it with rubbing alcohol and a pencil eraser and see if it starts to work again. Read More...
