Clayton S for Model Number wsf26c3ew01 The ice dispenser is not working. The ice maker does work & also water dispenser. The main freezer door switch is good, I checked it out with a OHM meter. The electronic control board #[w10518659] that attaches to plastic flapper door & shuts when ice bin is in place , so ice dispenser & motor/auger should power up & turn when you place drinking glass to dispense ice, but doesn't. I checked the 3 wire connections with flapper door shut & I have no continuality. I do not see any mechanical piece that moves when flapper door is closed or open by spring tension. Is there a part broken or missing ? Will a new Electronic Control Board fix my problem? Is there another switch or part to check? Also the flapper is working when I place glass for ice to dispense ! Thanks !!!
Answer Clayton, If the flapper is opening but the auger motor is not turning on then you will want to check to see if the auger motor is getting 120 vac to it when the dispenser is pressed. if it does then the motor is bad and if it does not then check the main control board on the unit as being a possible cause.
