Mike for Model Number Kitchenaid model KDTE 334GPSO My KitchenAid dishwasher model KDTE334GPSO is locked up on the control panel. Turning of the power to the dishwasher to reset it does not work. It stays in the pro-wash. Pushing the start or cancel button has not effect. Do I need to replace the control panel or the latch or both.
Answer Mike, with the power supply turned off, the door latch WPW10653840 can be tested for continuity. If it has continuity when the door is closed, the latch is good. The ribbon harness of the console W11165145 would then need to be unplugged and the power supply turned back on with the door open. After 7 seconds, close the door. The drain pump should kick on for 2 minutes if the main control W11120155 is good and only the console would need to be replaced. If the drain pump does not kick on, the main control would need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, August 29, 2022
