Jim M. for Model Number GD5PHAXMS10 Icemaker not working. I replaced the entire unit. Still not working. The receiver light is on when I open the door, but goes off when the door is shut (hold the door switch closed). Is the light supposed to go out when the door is closed? Thanks
Answer Hello Jim, Open the freezer door and view the diagnostics “status” LED. Two (2) pulses followed by a one (1)second delay (repeated) indicates either the flapper door on the emitter is blocking the beam or the optics are faulty. Press in the emitter flapper door to unblock the optics beam. Two (2) pulses followed by a one (1) second delay (repeated) indicates the Optics W11629974 are faulty.
