John for Model Number model 106.53606202 My ice maker is not working. I've replaced the ice maker and it still is not making ice or filling ice tray with water. The water fill line is not frozen. The optical sensor light is steady when the door is opened and hinged door closed, but goes dark when the freezer door switch is closed. Not sure if this is normal. Water dispenser works fine.
Answer John, the optical sensor may not be functioning properly. If you have the door switch depressed and the optical hinge pressed in with no obstructions, then you should get 120v AC to the icemaker at the black wire.
