Ted, it is recommended that the wires at the hinge are inspected for any damaged sections and that the freezer temperature is verified as being below 9°F with a thermometer. If there is a damaged wire and it is not able to be repaired, the door assembly L2255407W would need to be replaced. If there is not a broken wire, the next step would be to access the ice maker motor by removing the cover, taping the door switch down and the optics sensor W11629974 flapper down, then testing the ice maker for 120VAC from L to N. If there is 120VAC, and the freezer temperature is verified as being below 9°F, the ice maker 2198597 has failed if the fill tube has not been frozen up with ice. If the fill tube has, the failure is that the ice maker is not able to fill with water due to a leaking valve W10408179 that would need to be replaced and the ice block cleared.
