Mike V. for Model Number KitchenAid KSRK25ILSS02 The evaporator fan stays on. I removed the cover from the inside rear of the freezer and noticed ice on the evaporator. I manually defrosted the freezer. The evaporator fan still stays on. The resistance on the fan motor is 40 Ohms. What could be the problem? Thanks!
Answer Hello Mike, Sounds like a bad diffuser WP2209751, a bad fresh food thermostat WP2161460, Or a bad freezer thermostat WP2182770. Either the temperature in the fresh food side isn't coming down, (lack of air circulation...fan running so this would have to be the damper) or the temperature is coming down but the thermostat isn't responding as designed.
