Mike W. for Model Number GBD307PRS00 After a power failure, the oven fan ran continuously and the PF code was present. While trying to reset the oven I saw the E0 F3 code. I unplugged the unit for a few minutes then plugged it back in. Again the fan started up after a few seconds. The control panel responds, oven light, temp, timer etc. but after setting oven temp and pushing start I get the F5 code. Thanks for any help.
Answer Mike, The F3 E0 code indicated the oven temp. sensor was an "open" circuit. The F5 error code indicates the oven door is open, but the self clean door latch switch is "closed" indicating the door is "locked". In some cases, you can program a self clean cycle, wait two or three minutes, then cancel the cycle. Sometimes that will reset the switch, and the oven will go back to normal operation. If not, you will need to check the self clean latch assembly WPW10195934 and the "sister" board WP8301848 for possible damage from the voltage spike. Read More...
