Dan for Model Number RBD305PRQ00 Our A/C must draw a lot of juice. When it kicked on one evening a few weeks ago, the dual oven beeped three time. The display panel is blank and the ovens are "dead". Oven light functions when door is opened and using keypad. Pressing any other button disables the light button and results in three beeps. Pressing Cancel button results in one beep and reactivates the light button. Is my issue likely 1.) the control board, 2.) thermal fuse, 3.) transformer or perhaps multiple items? Note Whirlpool control board WPW10438750 has been on backorder for many months (perhaps longer) with no delivery date in sight. Several neighbors with the same dual oven experienced the same issue around Christmas 2017. Tired of waiting and with no manufacturer information forthcoming, they purchased replacements ovens.
Answer Dan, You will want to test the transformer on the unit to make sure that it is good. If the transformer is good then this will be a control board issue. The transformer part number is WP9760587 and can be tested by checking for 120 vac at the p16 connector between pins 5 and 7 for 120 vac and if there is power there then test from the p16 pins 2 to 3 for 12 to 24 vac. If there is no power at this point then transformer is bad. If there is power at this point then the control board is faulty. If there is no power at pins 5 to 7 then the control board is faulty.
