Jim F for Model Number WFW97HEXW2 My washer will not start cycle. I opened up the top and I can smell a burnt smell but can't determine where it is coming from. I have got a booklet for service technician's use only. I tried activating service diagnostic mode by pressing 3 buttons as described in the book, it will not go into that mode. The IU indicator lights change when knob it turned, LED display seem to work OK.
Answer Jim, With not being able to access service diagnostics it sounds like the main control board would be the issue. If the smell is a electrical odor then you will want to pull the control board and see if you can see any burn marks on the control. Read More...
