Laura for Model Number MHWZ600TW01 As I touched the control knob of my Maytag Epic Z front-loading washer, I heard a loud crackle as static electricity discharged. Since then, the controls have not worked correctly. I can eventually sometimes get the control to the wash cycle position I want to select but I have to turn the control knob a number of times. Once I select the cycle, the washer operates fine. Also, the controls on the right side (prewash, max extract, stain cycle, extra rinse, cycle signal and control lock) do not work at all. Do you think the microcomputer machine control part needs to be replaced? Or, what other suggestion do you have?
