Jim June 12, 2021 for Model Number MHWZ600TW00 Washer does not stop filling. Eventually stops and flashes error code F20. Per various fix suggestions on your site, have checked that water is running correctly through both temperature hoses, replaced water inlet valve - didn't fix issue. Next put in new water level pressure switch - didn't fix issue. Your helps said to try adding a new electronic control board so did that - still same issue. So, far you are 0 for 3. Any additional suggestions? Thank you.
1 Answer Jim, it would be recommended that the pressure hose is inspected for any clogs as this could prevent pressure from accumulating and pushing into the pressure sensor. Commonly, detergent residue accumulates where the pressure hose connects to the tub. If there is not a clog, the hose would need to be checked for any pinholes by placing the hose into a bin of water, holding one end shut, and blowing air into the other end. If any bubbling occurs, the hose W11252474 would need to be replaced. Read More...
Kelly Doc March 05, 2021 for Model Number MHWZ600TW01 When turning the control knob the selection jumps back and forth between settings and it is difficult to select a setting. Is this a control assembly problem or just the touch pad/LED cover? I’m suspecting that it is in the control assembly/knob selection component and I’ll need to purchase the whole control assembly.
1 Answer Kelly, This issue would be in the user interface which would be part number WPW10117419. Read More...
Nacjoe July 07, 2015 for Model Number MHWZ600TW01 Epic Z is displaying F28 code. Checked wiring, ohmed motor and wires between MCU and CCU check ground switches and made sure they were opening when depressed. Replaced MCU and still have the problem. CCU clicks when power cord is plugged into wall socket. Start cycle and door locks and that is it. Door won't unlock by the control only manually. As I am waiting, I can hear occasional clicking like there is cycling of relays but no motor action, eventually the F28 is displayed. Thinking I need to try the CCU board next. Any other suggestions? I work on $350000 CNC equipment and at least I can get factory tech support when I have problems with them. Maytag won't even talk to me to help diagnose a $650 washer. What a joke.
1 Answer Hello Nacjoe. Possible Causes/Procedure - Unplug washer or disconnect power. - Check that the power cord terminals are connected at the right position to the RFI filter (white-Neutral/ black-Line). - Check that the two ground switches are pressed correctly by the toe and rear panels. - Check that ground switches are fitted correctly, and are not broken and the green ground wires are connected correctly. - Make sure that both ground switches are not broken or scratched. - Make sure that all the ground harnesses (green wires) are connected correctly, and are not broken or with wires detached. - Make sure that all wire harness connections from the CCU (MI3 cavity), main Motor, and MCU are not broken or with wires detached, and that connector internal pins are visible. - Check for continuity from the MCU connector wires to CCU (MI3 cavity) connector. - If the continuity diagnosis failed, the Main Harness must be replaced. - Make sure that all the connectors are fully seated. - Check the drive system for any worn or failed components. - Plug in washer or reconnect power. - Verify the unit operation by running the Diagnostic Test cycle. - After the diagnostic test has finished, unplug washer or disconnect power and wait for 15 seconds. David November 07, 2014 for Model Number MHWZ600TW01 A service technician identified part number W10525358 as the problem with the machine. I purchased one from appliancepartspros.com and replacing it did not solve the problem. I pressed pause/cancel twice as indicated in your video (the part did not come with instructions). The machine powers on, but after selecting a cycle and pressing start, the door locks, the selector knob light goes out and the remaining time indicator stays at the full time. The machine does nothing further.
1 Answer Hello David, I would check for poor electrical connections first. Then you should pull the tech sheet and follow the troubleshooting instructions on it. The tech sheet should be in a plastic bag adhered to the inside of the lower front kickpanel. It explains the diagnostic tests and even has the wiring diagram. Read More...
Laura April 27, 2013 for Model Number MHWZ600TW01 As I touched the control knob of my Maytag Epic Z front-loading washer, I heard a loud crackle as static electricity discharged. Since then, the controls have not worked correctly. I can eventually sometimes get the control to the wash cycle position I want to select but I have to turn the control knob a number of times. Once I select the cycle, the washer operates fine. Also, the controls on the right side (prewash, max extract, stain cycle, extra rinse, cycle signal and control lock) do not work at all. Do you think the microcomputer machine control part needs to be replaced? Or, what other suggestion do you have?
1 Answer Laura, It is most likely that the user interface WPW10117419 is what is at fault with your unit. Read More...
