Melinda for Model Number lsc9000pw0 On high agitation the machine makes a rhythmic grinding noise. It doesn't make the noise on low agitate. I replaced the entire agitator assembly & it still makes the noise. It sounds like when the dog ears were bad a few years ago. With a mechanic stethoscope I can hear the noise at the metal surrounding the brake & at the clutch but I don't hear anything unusual from the gear case. What would cause this if not from agitator assembly?
Answer Hello Melinda. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the clutch assembly 285785 is bad and will need to be replaced. Also, check and make sure the drive block WP389140 is not bad in the unit. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, November 23, 2011
