Frank C. for Model Number KSRL25FRST04 Shaft on motor will turn, but auger in ice bin will not. Looks as though the bin is not sitting all the way on motor shaft. What can be stopping it from going all the way down, so it will turn auger to dispense ice?
Answer Frank, You will want to check to make sure that the shaft of the that comes from the motor to the ice bin is not stripped at the top. Also make sure that it is down far enough so that it will seat properly. To get it to go lower you can tap the top of it with the blunt end of a screwdriver. You will want to make sure that it is not down too far and check to make sure that the top is not rounded off. If it is then you will need to replace the shaft WP2188917. Read More...
