Stephanie for Model Number GI5SVAXVL01 The Dispenser Keyboard is not fully working on my refrigerator, and we are getting ready to order a replacement, along with a control board. I am also having trouble with ice in the bottom of the freezer and water in the floor which I understand is likely coming from the drain plug being clogged with ice. My question - does the control board "control" the defrost cycles of the freezer also? I ask because I know that you can force a defrost cycle from the dispenser keyboard. Thanks!
Answer Stephanie, Yes, the main control board will control the defrost cycle of the unit. For the issue with the drain being clogged you will want to get part number W10619951 which is for the issue that you are having with the ice on the floor in the freezer. Read More...
