James I have a Maytag model MEW6630DDB and have replaced p/n AP4097451 (74009003) once and now need to replace it again (this will be a total of 3 control clock circuit boards). Is there a design flaw in the part? What happens is the timer assembly starts to beep, then the oven will turn it's self on to a low setting. This happens after about 10 months of successful use. Thanks in advance.
Answer James, This time replace the control panel 5765M480-60 first, make sure the ribbon connection is seated into the ERC/Clock connector properly, and clean the ribbon connector metal tabs inside the connector with alcohol or electrical contact cleaner. Also remember to clean the control panel with nothing more than a damp dishcloth(no chemical cleaners) Thanks and Good Luck Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, August 29, 2011
