Paul June 28, 2018 The oven is completely dead. No lights, sounds, clock, nothing. Power to the inside of the oven is good. The cables to the control board have power. I have model MEW6630DDQ. The numbers on the control board are 60C21620102 TLB 0320CPCP F3 94V-0. Does this control board include the clock side and the cable connector side?
1 Answer Hello Paul, This is most likely going to be caused by a bad control board WP8507P323-60. The clock is a part of this control board. Read More...
Craig R, July 16, 2017 Maytag double oven with control panel 85079323-60. ~10 year old oven. Top oven pre-heats with broiler/top element on and it does not shut off. Does this require a new control panel? Thx - Craig
Guy October 04, 2016 for Model Number MEW6630DDS Some of the numbers don't work when I press them for a temperature. Some times they will work and other times not. Also, if one oven has been on for awhile and I start the other oven, nothing programs? is this a bad control or control board? Thanks
1 Answer Guy, Based on the symptoms of your unit, this issue would most likely be caused by a faulty control board. Read More...
Tom December 08, 2015 for Model Number MEW6630DDW The display goes blank and the oven does not work. First 2 or 3 times it happened I turned the power off, waited awhile and turned the power back on and it worked. This time it does not come back on. Is this the control panel or clock? Is the clock separate or different part number than the control panel? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Tom, Check the connections to the unit and to the clock assembly . If no problems are located, the first suspect is the control WP8507P323-60. Read More...
Yuki July 22, 2015 for Model Number MEW6630DDS Maytag double wall oven, #NEW6630DDS is 7 years old and it suddenly started beeping randomly and it stops randomly. No error code appears on the control panel. I tried to use the oven, but it shuts off after a couple of minutes. I also noticed that the steam comes out from the upper oven directly beneath the control panel. I am not sure if the moisture may have caused the malfunction of control panel? Need your help. Should I just replace the control panel?
1 Answer Hello Yuki. If it shuts off like you have pressed cancel and beeps like your pressing buttons, then you will need to replace the control panel 5765M480-60 on the unit. Read More...
Ann February 05, 2015 for Model Number MEW6630DDB My Maytag electric double wall oven preheats fine on both ovens, but neither oven will hold the temperature. This unit has worked fine for 7 years until now.
1 Answer Hello Ann, You should test the resistance of the temperature sensor in the ovens. They should read about 1100 ohms at about 70°F. If not, they should be replaced. If good, the control WP8507P323-60 will have burned contacts preventing proper current flow to the elements. Read More...
Rob May 10, 2013 for Model Number mew6630dds Upper oven heats up during pre-heat with broiler and bottom element then bottom element turns off however broiler stays on. Eventually oven shuts off (possibly due to overheating) with "bake" blinking. I was told to replace the control board. is this correct?
1 Answer Rob, Yes, the control board would need to be replaced due to defective relays in the board. Read More...
Daryll August 21, 2012 for Model Number MEW6630dds How do I know if the control H2 clock is the problem or if it's the control panel?
1 Answer Hello Daryll, This method works sometimes but as per the manufacturer, open the control panel and disconnect the ribbon cable to the touch pad. If the beeping begins again within 24 hours, replace the clock assembly. If it doesn't start the beeping with code again, replace the touch pad. I said it works sometimes because I have had to return and replace the touch pad after the test given by the manufacturer pointed to the clock assembly. Read More...
James August 28, 2011 I have a Maytag model MEW6630DDB and have replaced p/n AP4097451 (74009003) once and now need to replace it again (this will be a total of 3 control clock circuit boards). Is there a design flaw in the part? What happens is the timer assembly starts to beep, then the oven will turn it's self on to a low setting. This happens after about 10 months of successful use. Thanks in advance.
1 Answer James, This time replace the control panel 5765M480-60 first, make sure the ribbon connection is seated into the ERC/Clock connector properly, and clean the ribbon connector metal tabs inside the connector with alcohol or electrical contact cleaner. Also remember to clean the control panel with nothing more than a damp dishcloth(no chemical cleaners) Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
