Lu for Model Number Kbfs20etss00 Hi, I'm having trouble with my ice maker. It's fairly new, replaced about a year ago. Last month it started making loud noises while filling. Almost like popcorn popping but very loud. The ice cubes seem to be smaller than normal and now it won't fill at all. I took the refrigerator filter out, it started working again, still making noise but not as loud, and again it won't fill the ice tray. Can this be saved or do I have to buy another ice maker? Thank you. Lu
Answer Hello Lu, The smaller cubes are an indication that the water valve WP67006531 is failing. The water filter will have no bearing on the icemaker. The loud popping sounds like the mold heater in the icemaker is failing and the icemaker D7824706Q will have to be replaced to correct this part of the issue. Read More...
