Alix for Model Number KESC307HBS8 We have a malfunctioning range-- particularly when the oven temperature is hot, the buttons on the console start to behave erratically-- the press buttons don't work, basically. We had purchased this part: AP3174907 We managed to install it, but it didn't actually solve the problem. So now I'm not sure where the issue lies - any suggestions?
Answer Hello Alix, You will want to check to make sure that your cooling fan is operational. If the fan is not working this will cause the control to overheat and cause the control to not respond. When you pull out the lower drawer the fan is located down in this area. If the fan is operational you will want to make sure that it is blowing out through the ducts. Read More...
