Shawn for Model Number kgrt607hbs9 The control panel lights of our kitchenaid gas range were intermittently going on and off. sometimes when the oven is on and other times not. Recently they have been off for a few days and then came back on when the oven was warm. When the oven was turned off, they went out again. The oven touch controls work since we are able to turn the oven on, use the timer and other features. Wondering if the thermal fuse could be the cause or the more expensive control board or microprocessor.
Answer Hello Shawn, The thermal fuse would not affect the operation of the control board. If the thermal fuse is bad the control will not come on at all. You will want to check the wiring between the power board and the display board. Make sure that there is good connection.
