Hello Gil. Here are the instructions from the manufacture. Hope this helps. THE PITCHER OF THE BLENDER CLEAN For a light cleaning: Fill the cup with hot soapy water and put it on for 30 seconds. Remove the mixing bowl of the stand, disassemble the parts and rinse the mixing bowl and the lid with clean water. Dry the mixing bowl and the lid. The mixing bowl is in the dishwasher cleaned are. For a complete clean: 1. Once the mixing bowl of the blender and remove the locking collar counterclockwise by him of clockwise. 2. Remove the knife from the mixing bowl (the set is not complete of the mixing bowl removed) and take place between the bottom flange of the knife and the seal by the seal of the bottom flange to move away. This allows the seal completely cleaned.
