To replace, I understand, I need the DOOR ASSEMBLY (black), Part #AP3179414. How difficult is it to replace the NEW door assembly? Do I need any special tools. Does the entire unit has to be disconnected from its installation? Can a single person do the replacement? Please guide me so that I can purchase the Door Assembly. Thanks and regards, Jake R.
Answer Jake, it is not safe to use the microwave with part of the door broken. This will need to be replaced. To install the new door you will have to remove the vent grill at the top of the microwave above the door, open the door at a 90° angle and slowly lift from the bottom first to disengage from the lower hinge.
