Adam for Model Number WGD88HEAC I have a Whirlpool gas dryer (WGD88HEAC) and I put the lint screen in the wrong direction and broke both lint "doors" (part W10219016), specifically the tabs in the middle that held them in place. I was able to keep the springs and have ordered new parts. I have read all the comments about the other models and was wondering if you had specific instructions for this model on how to replace these two doors. Thanks!
Answer Adam, This is the best answer that we can give for the unit as there are not specific printed instructions on how to do it. Unplug dryer or disconnect power. Turn off gas supply to dryer. Open the dryer door and remove the lint filter screen. Remove the two front screws from the outlet grille. Remove the three inside screws from the outlet grille. Pull the moisture sensor away from the dryer and disconnect the black and yellow-red wires from the moisture sensor strips. Once you have the two pieces separated you can remove the old doors and snap the new doors in place. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, June 19, 2014
