Fred for Model Number 66575163301 The Kenmore gas range will light and go out quickly, a few minutes later will light again and go out and continues like that. the burner won't stay lit. Everything else on the stove works properly. The broiler and burners work fine. Please help me with my problem. Thanks
Answer Fred, First remove the burner WP9758078 and check all the venture holes to make sure they are all clear, especially the cross over openings nearest the igniter. Shake the burner, if you hear light rattling noise, there is debris in the burner tube, you'll need to clean it out or replace the burner, Check the igniter WP8054129 and wire, make sure it is properly and tightly mounted to the bracket. If all checks OK, start by replacing the DSI spark module WPW10331686. There may be a weak bake igniter circuit, or the safety circuit is malfunctioning and the module is not registering a flame on the burner and shutting down the valve. Read More...
