Melissa for Model Number agr5844vdb 1 When I turn my oven on the igniter will spark and light the burner. But at this point the igniter will continue to spark 3 or 4 times then. it will quit and the burner will go off. Any suggestions?
Answer Melissa, Check and make sure the burner flame is the proper size, 3/4 to 1 inch in length with the oven bottom panel and flame spreader plate removed. If all's OK , you'll need to start at the DSI Spark Module WPW10331686. Once the burner flame is ignited, the spark igniter should stop and the burner remain on, If the low voltage to the gas valve isn't maintained or the re ignition circuit remains active due to an issue in the board circuitry the burner flame and gas valve will react just as you described.
