Eric V for Model Number 3867VVV A while ago I replaced the 6" element. The new one came on okay but the problem was that it stayed always on high. You could turn the switch to low but nothing changed. Also, when you turn this eye off, the 'hot surface' light goes off as well, when it should stay on for a while. Since the element was replaced I decided that it might be a faulty switch. I ordered it last week and installed it yesterday, but the problem remains the same. So I assume the switch was okay and the burner was faulty? What do you suggest? Try another burner? Can I return the switch?
Answer Eric, The element will be the most likely cause for the unit to stay on high and you will want to make sure that you have installed all the wiring properly. If the it is wired properly then the element would be the issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, December 27, 2016
