Mike L February 07, 2024 for Model Number CVE3401B The front left burner is not working on this cooktop. It comes on but shuts off after a minute or so. Is it a problem with the limiter or the element. If it is the limiter is there a substitute that would work? That part shows as discontinued in your online system. Thanks for any help you can provide.
1 Answer Mike L., You would need to use a multimeter to see if there is power to the element/limiter. If so the element assembly would be the issue. If no power then you would have an issue with the infinite switch. Read More...

Steve January 02, 2022 for Model Number MER6871AAC Over the last year the two "small" stove-top burners (left front and right rear) have stopped heating. The light still goes on. Can you confirm the part number to order for replacement. Also, how old is my stove? Regards, Steve
1 Answer Steve, the infinite switches WP7403P238-60 would need to be tested for 240VAC from terminal H1 to terminal H2 when the switch is turned on. If there is not 240VAC, the switch has failed. If there is, the element W10823704 has failed. Read More...

Austin Curry December 29, 2018 for Model Number MER6770AAB Hello! The outer ring of the front right burner on the smooth top is no longer working and the front left burner doesn't always seem to heat at a consistent temperature. Thanks!!
1 Answer Austin, You will want to check to make sure that the dual element outer ring is not burnt out. If it is not then the is will be a faulty element. For the issue of inconsistent temps then this would require a new element due to a faulty sensor. Read More...
Poppie December 05, 2018 for Model Number 629.46779 I need a 6 inch radiant heat burner for this model slide in cooktop/oven. The old one has 6 wires connected, 4 on the limiter and 2 on the burner element. I'm told the replacement for my original 74002653 burner is replaced by W10823704 but the new product only has 4 wire connections. There are no connections for the burner element itself, they seem to be made into the limiter now.
1 Answer Poppie, The manufacturer has reconfigured this element. One of the 2 terminals that was on the element itself had a black jumper on the original that went from the inner terminal to the inner terminal on the limiter. They have discontinued use of that jumper wire and have bridged both of the wires to the limiter. So the wire that was on the outer part of the element will connect to that inner most terminal on the limiter where the bridge is and the other 3 wires will connect the same as the original . This is the reason for only 4 terminals on the new part. Read More...
