Poppie for Model Number 629.46779 I need a 6 inch radiant heat burner for this model slide in cooktop/oven. The old one has 6 wires connected, 4 on the limiter and 2 on the burner element. I'm told the replacement for my original 74002653 burner is replaced by W10823704 but the new product only has 4 wire connections. There are no connections for the burner element itself, they seem to be made into the limiter now.
Answer Poppie, The manufacturer has reconfigured this element. One of the 2 terminals that was on the element itself had a black jumper on the original that went from the inner terminal to the inner terminal on the limiter. They have discontinued use of that jumper wire and have bridged both of the wires to the limiter. So the wire that was on the outer part of the element will connect to that inner most terminal on the limiter where the bridge is and the other 3 wires will connect the same as the original . This is the reason for only 4 terminals on the new part. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, December 6, 2018
