Bill for Model Number DU840SWKX0 Dishwasher wasn't heating the water or drying. Found bad thermal fuse P/N WP3368928. replaced thermal fuse along with heating element (old one was still good but replaced it anyways. Ran great the first time but the next time I noticed it wasn't drying. Checked the thermal fuse and its open again. I can replace it again but not sure why it failed. What is the purpose of the thermal fuse? I have a digital multimeter in series and it doesn't seem to be drawing much current during a full cycle. See to have spikes when I open/close the door. Max spike is 0.91 amps. Any suggestions?
Answer Hello Bill. You will need to replace the timer WP8535372 in the unit. The contact is stuck and keeping the heater on to blow the thermostat. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, December 30, 2016
