Joe for Model Number mvwx655dw I have an MVWX655DW Maytag bravos washer that spins violently during the spin cycle. I replaced the four springs around the basket, but that didn't help. Any tips on what to look for next? Should I take off the agitator or start from the bottom?
Answer Hello Joe, You need to make sure the top edge of the spin basket sounds like there is water in it. This is a saline solution used to balance the unit during the spin cycle. Also, make sure the unit is properly leveled and the floor is strong enough. A good test for the floor is to place a glass of water on the dryer. Make sure the washer and dryer are not touching and set the washer to spin. If the water in the dryer moves during the washers spin cycle, this is motion transferred through the floor. Read More...
