Maytag Owner for Model Number MVWX655DW1 Our Maytag Bravos Washer is making a noise when the tub spins. Upon tilting the machine over, there was some oil spots on the floor. Is this going to be a gear case replacement and does the bearing come with the gear case assembly. Looks like the assembly has the shaft and bearing. Is that the only bearing?
Answer Maytag Owner, You're pretty much on target, When a Bravos washer makes noise in the spin cycle it is usually due to a worn tub bearing. In this case, the bearing is internal to the gearcase assembly W11454734/W11454734 Gearcase, and it will need to be replaced. A few drops of oil is usually residual oil from the manufacturing and shipping process, but that issue will be resolved with the new gearcase assembly and basic cleanup. Thanks, Read More...
