Bruce P for Model Number GHW9400PW4 just replaced drive motor for f 06 code.. shocks had oil on them .. new motor had the f 06 code first time it run a load at the end of first wash cycle and at the start of spin cycle.. would bad shocks cause this problem??
Answer Bruce, We wouldn't expect worn shocks to cause a motor tach error code. You do want to check and make sure the washer is drained completely before it starts the spin cycle. You will also want to check the wiring between the MCU W10756692 and motor WP8182793 and the MCU and the CCU WP8182697 Also check and clean any corrosion or debris off the terminals and connector pins with electrical contact cleaner. if the F06 code persists, replace the MCU, it's more susceptible to faults than the motor.
