Cliff for Model Number 11062212100 The dryer stopped heating, but everything else still works.Where is the element & thermal fuse located ,could these be the problem. Thanks
Answer Cliff, Yes, a defective element 279838 or open thermal fuse kit 279816 would not allow the dryer to heat. To access the heater and fuse, you'll need to remove power to the dryer, slide the dryer away from the wall and remove the rear cover panel. The air duct on the right(looking at the back of the machine) has the thermostat and thermal fuse mounted at the bottom and the heater assembly is afixxed to the duct by 2 1/4" hex head screws that will need to be removed in order to inspect the element for damage.
