Dan for Model Number WDF530PAYM4 My Whirlpool dishwasher stopped drying a few weeks ago. I tested the heating element with a multimeter and determined it was bad. I contacted Whirlpool for a replacement heating element and installed the replacement when I received it. When I installed it, the threading in the nuts they sent with the heating element didn't match the threading on the ends. I didn't think much of it and went ahead and tightened them anyway as best I could, ensured it was a snug fit on both ends, and re-connected the heating element. As best as I can tell, I still get no heat or very little heat from the heating element and am now wondering if they sent the wrong part (and should try buying one from you). I would the part back but Whirlpool won't give me a refund once the part is installed. Could I have gotten the wrong part? If I buy from you instead and it turns out to be the wrong part, what is your refund policy?
Answer Dan, The heating element part number for your unit is W10518394 and here is a link to the return policy http://www.appliancepartspros.com/customerservice/returns.aspx. You will want to check to make sure that the control board is sending power to the heating element and make sure that the thermostat is not defective. Read More...
