Rob for Model Number whirlpool Is it possible for something to malfunction and the heating element to get to hot? Mind appears to get "white" hot. I notice this if I open the door while it is washing to put something else in. Thx.
Answer Hello Rob. Usually the element turns white from using to much soap in the unit. You can use some dishwasher cleaner to try to remove the white from the element. If the element gets to hot, it will damage the tub. You probably opened the door during a drying cycle or heating the water up. Read More...
