Rohan for Model Number KUDE48FXBL5 Hi! I have been struggling trying to figure out why my dishwasher isn’t heating the water or drying the dishes. The heating element was purchase from you and replaced about a year and a half ago. It still measures about 13ohms. I thought the high temp thermostat was bad as I thought it measured open when I checked earlier this week. Today when I took it out, it measured 1.6ohms. I’m not sure what else it could be. I don’t know if I have a stuck relay or the control board is bad. Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks!
Answer Rohan, the thermostat should measure less than 1 Ohm of resistance if it has proper continuity. The dishwasher can be placed into a diagnostic mode and the heater tested for voltage from the main control to identify if the control will send voltage out. If it does, the control is good.
