Kyle May 05, 2025 for Model Number 66514793N510 Is removing the water feed tube and sprayer necessary to replace the heating element? Since the heating element is open in the back, why can it be unscrewed and slid out around the sprayer?

Remy December 31, 2023 for Model Number W10703867 part # I am trying to calculate whether or not I am getting the proper resistance out of my element, how do I find the wattage that the element is using?
1 Answer Remy, This heater is 785 watts wet and 500 dry which would be a resistance reading of between 8 to 30 ohms. Read More...
Shaun January 24, 2023 for Model Number WDT750SAHZ0 This another update on this dishwasher rain the diagnostic mode keeps switching between the normal and 1 hour wash cycle options high temp and heated dry divertor motor kept clicking you heard the motor running then dishwasher drained then a few mintues later starting emmiting a burning smell apparently the heating element was on long enough that it got REALLY HOT. used my temp gun it read about 150 degrees F. the element does have some brown corrosion rust on it. checked the wire connectors no sign of arching or damage on either termianls on heating element are also fine.
1 Answer Shaun, Thanks for the question!!! I would open the door and check the control board and connections for heat and damage. The harness and control are common failures that could lead to a fire hazard in the door (which can spread to the home). Read More...

Rohan January 29, 2022 for Model Number KUDE48FXBL5 Hi! I have been struggling trying to figure out why my dishwasher isn’t heating the water or drying the dishes. The heating element was purchase from you and replaced about a year and a half ago. It still measures about 13ohms. I thought the high temp thermostat was bad as I thought it measured open when I checked earlier this week. Today when I took it out, it measured 1.6ohms. I’m not sure what else it could be. I don’t know if I have a stuck relay or the control board is bad. Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks!
1 Answer Rohan, the thermostat should measure less than 1 Ohm of resistance if it has proper continuity. The dishwasher can be placed into a diagnostic mode and the heater tested for voltage from the main control to identify if the control will send voltage out. If it does, the control is good. Smitty August 30, 2020 for Model Number KDEF304DSS The dishwasher stopped heating to dry dishes recently. Following others examples I tried to order the heating element for it. The heating element is sold out on your site and many others. I had overlooked "rebooting" (unplugging and plugging the unit back in.) and finally did reboot it. The next cycle the unit heated up OK during the drying cycle. I find it odd that none of the troubleshooting questions/answers don't mention this simple step.
1 Answer Hello Smitty, the model was likely KDTE304DSS0, on this design, the control board can disable the heater if it detects one of several unrelated problems with the dishwasher. What you were able to do was to reset the control board temporarily, once the control sees the primary problem reoccur it will again disable the heater. This is usually not a heater element problem. The test mode needs to be run to find the primary problem, the test/diagnostics information is on the tech sheet that is located behind/under the front kickplate. Read More...
Wade December 30, 2019 for Model Number KDTE104ES54 How may volts should be present at the heating element while it is on? I'm only showing 2.5VAC. Heating element continuity is within specs.
David August 18, 2019 for Model Number Kitchenaid kuds30fxsso Dishwasher works but after 10 minutes it shuts off without doing the dishes.
1 Answer Hello David, if the dishwater is filling to the correct level, the water is not siphoning out the drain hose, the drain pump works on a pump out, no signs of excess sudsing, the wash motor is working and the spray arms are turning then replace the control board part WPW10380685.
