Rich for Model Number GHW9460PL0 My Whirlpool Washer keeps giving a F-05 fail code. I replaced the ntc sensor and still have the problem. I removed the heating element and it looks perfect, maybe too perfect. Shouldn't it have scale or something? This is clean and doesn't show any signs of being a heavily used 6 year old machine. I checked the resistance and it is giving 14.5 ohms resistance across the terminals. Do you think the problem is this element?
Answer Hello Rich. Based on the information you provided, the heater WPW10426377 is testing good. It sounds like the wiring harness going from the heater to the CCU is bad, or the CCU is bad. You will need to check and see if the wiring harness is good on the unit. If so, replace the CCU WP8182694. Hope this helps. Read More...
